Jack Leach history - Happy Father's Day

This is Jack Leach when he was one.  Taken in 1921 on the homestead in Northern Minnesota.

My dad, Jack Leach, has been gone since January 3, 1997, and still miss him vividly.  When I just need to talk to him, I call my Uncle John.  Actually I just talked to him this morning.  He is 90, doing well and has a memory like a teenager - no, even better than that.
So, Dad, this post is for you.  I love you and miss you.  Let's remember together, some of the photos of your past.
On the right, taken aprox. 1925, is a pict of all five Leach kids.  Jack was about 5.

Grandpa and Grandma Leach moved back to Missouri in 1928.  They did this because Grandma was so lonesome for her family and home.  So off they went in a “touring car” with a little tent attached to the side of it.  They had a one burner stove where Grandma cooked their meals and they slept in the tent as they traveled.    It took about a week to make it to Missouri.  But in April, 1929, they moved back to Minnesota because they couldn't make a living in Missouri.  There was not even enough food to eat.  My Uncle John (left front row) says he was about seven years old when they left for Minnesota again.  “I was so excited!” John says, “Because we were going home”.   My dad, Jack,(ft row, 4th from rt. by Lena then Ray)  would have been nine years old.  Phil was middle ft and Don and Cora back row to the right.  The rest is Cora's family, Rena and thier family and Grandpa Don's brother, John Homer Leach with the pipe.  The boy in front row, on rt is Charlie Leach.

Above is dad and Uncle Ray with dog, Joker and below is the Leach and Ellis boys with Al Bolin and Grandpa Don in middle.  Jack is back row, left.
